ARC AIR GOUGING CARBON ELECTRODE
The arc air gouging carbon electrode is the electrode used in the technology of the carbon arc gas gouging. The conductive loop between the electrode and the metal object to be processed is used and the arc is produced between the electrode and the metal object. The heat produced by the arc melts the metal. And the compressed air blows away the melted metal resides around the carbon electrode. The technology of using this method to cut metals or make slots on metals or remove the excrescent part is called carbon arc gas gouging. The carbon arc gas gouging is mainly used in the slotting, planning welding lines and edge burrs on metal castings and parts such as steel and iron, brass, hard alloy, stainless steel and so on, and cutting, making holes and filling the welding line defects or other tasks.
